So I just saw The Soloist…
And man oh man. That movie hit me. Hard. Aside from the music being fantastic (Classical is overrated. Romantic is where it’s at; Beethoven FTW), there was this constant notion of fear. Fear of failure, of rejection, of the past, of being mentally broken, of breaking hearts, of commitment. Hell, it made me recognize my own fear. And it’s definitely of being mentally broken. Selfish?...
Dr. John Harvey Kellogg did not like any of the guests visiting the Battle Creek Sanitarium to be full of shit — literally. Kellogg made sure that the bowels of each and every patient were cleansed by several gallons of water delivered by enema and followed up with a blast of a half pint of yogurt. Hate your job?
